EMMA (Elder Mobile Monitoring Assistant) is aimed at assisting elders in their home environment. EMMA monitors position, vital signals and tasks of the elder. The first version is a wireless device that monitors walking patterns and detect falls that can result in death. The device alerts automatically a list of predefined phone contacts. Additionally the user can also      ask for general help by pressing a button. Future products will feature an ECG monitor and a blood pressure sensor.
